Go medieval with these two authentic replica kits!
We’ve carried both the Catapult Kit and the Trebuchet Kit in our store for years – they are so popular, they sell out almost as soon as we restock our shelves…. But they are now back in stock and ready to ship (and there is still time to get them before Christmas)!
These innovative science kits are working replicas of the most infamous and powerful “medieval siege engines”. The design for the Catapult is based on historic designs used during the Middle Ages. The design for the Trebuchet is based on weapons that once smashed castle and fortress walls, changing the course of many a kingdom!
Both kits use only wood, rope, and leather. No elastic, rubber, motors or batteries are used to create the movement of these devices.
All pieces in the kits are pre-cut and drilled, requiring only wood or white glue to assemble. The instructions are detailed and complete, with educational notes about the siege engines.
When completed, the Catapult stands 6″ tall x 5″ wide x 10″ long and can shoot a ball of soft modeling clay over 15 feet! The Trebuchet is 26″ long x 18″ wide and 9″ tall and is capable of hurling a ball of soft modeling clay over 20 feet! (Modeling clay is included with both kits).
We’ve had our Trebuchet set up for over three years now – it’s still in perfect condition and it still gets played with! Bombarding fun for the entire family!

Dixit and Dixit 2 (Expansion Pack) is a storytelling game that is sure to be a family favorite!
This award-winning game inspires creative thinking and encourages you to use your imagination. It’s a fun game for the entire family, and it also makes a great holiday party game.
To play, on each turn, one player becomes the storyteller. This player makes up a sentence from one of the six interesting and abstract images in his hand. The other players select from their six cards the one that best matches the sentence made up by the storyteller. Each player then gives their chosen image to the storyteller, who shuffles the cards and lays them down on the table with the images facing up. All players then vote on which image they think is the storyteller’s. Points are scored (or not scored) based on vote tallies – each correct answer gives points to the guesser and the storyteller; each incorrect answer gives points to the storyteller; however, if all the guesses are correct, or none of them are, then the storyteller receives no points and all the other players get points. The game ends when the last card has been drawn. The player who is the furthest on the scoring gameboard, wins.
You’ll love the pictures on the 84 large cards in the original game, and the 84 cards in the expansion pack – all cards with completely different pieces of art from Marie Cardouat. Every card tells a story – allow yourself to be caught in their spell and be transported on a new voyage of discovery.
